Dear InsideLineRC Viewers,
As you may have noticed, the InsideLineRC site has been a bit of a ghost town lately. First and foremost, we would like to apologize for the lack of news and content. During this time, behind the scenes a lot of discussion and changes have been taking place.
One year ago, with the help of several silent partners, I launched the InsideLineRC.com site. Over the course of the year the site continued to grow beyond expectations, and quickly made its presence known throughout the industry.
As the new year approached, new opportunities presented themselves, and it was time to sit down for some deep conversation and plans for the new year.
As many of you may or may not know, I have a passion for not only racing, but announcing great racing as well. In addition to racing, I have traveled the country announcing everything from local R/C and motocross races to the ROAR Nationals and Monster Energy Cup of Supercross.
To combine everything about R/C you love (writing, reporting, racing, AND announcing) into one job is an opportunity that does not present itself very often, but when it does, it leaves you pondering your next move for night after sleepless night.
Growing up, my mother always told me, “Never turn down an opportunity to do what you love.” I’ve listened to her words of wisdom for 29 years, leading me along an endless journey of excitement and adventure. Why stop now?
With that being said, it’s a bittersweet day as today marks the end of my time as captain of InsideLineRC. I have chosen to embrace the opportunity presented, and return home to where it all began for me.
In 2011, while spending a hot and sweaty week racing at the Cactus Classic, Brandon Rohde of LiveRC.com took a gamble and hired me as the LiveRC site content editor. Six years later, following this past weekend’s Desert Classic (the Cactus Classic replacement), I have taken the opportunity presented to re-join LiveRC.com
I could not be more excited to be joining the LiveRC team alongside Aaron Waldron to bring you the latest breaking news from the R/C industry, creating exciting original content, and traveling with the LiveRC production crew to join them in covering some of the greatest R/C races on the planet.
I cannot thank YOU ALL enough for your support of InsideLineRC. While this is a big change for us all, I hope that your viewership and support will continue, as the move has been made to LiveRC.com!
From this point forward, all future emails, press releases, race reports, news, and enquiries should be directed to – Mike@LiveRC.com.
